How to take care of your garden and make it special
Is the neighbor’s grass always the greenest? No, if you know how to take care of your garden. The main feature of a healthy garden is green and evenly cut grass.
But how can we make the garden grass grow properly?
Grass care is sometimes overlooked by most people. Instead the grass also needs the same care as plants and flowers.
The first rule is that a good garden must always be irrigated. “Always” does not mean every day, it simply means constantly: in winter or when the rain is abundant there is no need to irrigate it, while in summer it is necessary to irrigate every day when the weather is particularly torrid. I advise you to water it in the evening, so that the sun does not let the water evaporate before the grass can absorb it. In this way you will prevent your lawn from becoming yellow, dry and anti-aesthetic.
The second rule is to get rid of weeds. When your lawn is well fed, there will be many weeds ready to infest it and steal nutrients from the earth. Unfortunately, cutting them does not help much and it is much better to remove their roots, so that they can not grow again. Wear gloves and have lots of patience. The result, however, will be a real show!
Now that you have a beautiful, lush and tidy lawn, without weeds, do not let the grass grow out of all proportion and make it messy. Cut your garden at least once a week to keep the grass at a uniform height.
Warning: the use of the mower tends to slightly raise the grass. It is therefore advisable to pass over with a roller sometimes. Do not worry, you do not need to do this every time you mow your lawn. Just do it before winter to compact the earth and make it stand up better to frost, in the spring to give it air after the winter months and early summer.
Now that you know how to make your lawn perfect, why not embellish it with some color notes?
An example is planting the allium giganteum, a flower of the same family of garlic that makes wonderful flowers and, as its name says, they are gigantic. The decorative allium resists very well the cold and produces very high colored flowers that will amaze you.
If you like a tidy lawn or if it is too small to have too many flowers, you can reserve only a corner for them to give a touch of colour. If planting flowers is too stressful for you, plant succulents. They do not need much care but they make beautiful flowers.
In short, once you’ve got the lawn you’ve always wanted, you can indulge and decorate it according to your tastes.
